The front gardens are lovely. I was told to wait to check in while she was completing her books at front desk. My room smelled very stale, unpleasant. Ceiling in shower was leaking; definitely something wrong with pipe above. Very annoying as I was trying not to get my hair wet.

The property is older and therefore lacking some amenities. There is no elevator so if you don't want to haul luggage upstairs, then it is not for you. Check in was good but I found it very difficult to find any staff the times I went to the front desk (to locate a working ice machine and start car charge or check out?). The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Photos are a bit deceiving - the hotel is not as updated as they make it out to be. Service was great - everyone was friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean. Room was clean overall, but some random hairs on the bedspread that didn’t belong to us and there was some gunk on the bathroom door that needed to be wiped down, and tub was rusty around the drain. For a quick stay around $100, it was perfectly adequate. I would stay here again for a similar stay (near the GO station to attend a concert in TO). Overall average / just fine, no complaints.
