Elevator to the parking garage malfunctioned causing injury to my wife. Security was notified, and the were helpful , but mostly documented the occurrences in case of a lawsuit. Asked help desk for a shower seat… never got it, asked to fix a bathroom hot water shut off problem..,,never came, was offered a complimentary wheelchair for my injured wife…. poor coordination with the bell desk, many bags of laundry in the hall outside our too our entire stay…..long line for our 3pm check-in with only one clerk working the majority of the time!

This hotel’s glory days seem a faded memory, with long lines, crowding, decaying facilities. Case in point - the elevators were slow and seemed on the verge of breakdown with buttons not working properly, weird extra stops on floors not requested (one elevator always stopped on Floor 4 for no apparent reason). Also lots of noise - from the hallways, adjacent rooms and the roller coaster. And the room smelled damp and like chlorine on check-in. The pool temperature was very chilly due to a broken pool heater part that wouldn’t come in until the following week. The crepes from 48th and Crepe? Inedible. I enjoyed my stay here decades ago so was sad to see the dilapidated condition it had fallen into.

New york new york is the best. They have us checked in quick. The food court is a big help for late night eating. The room is clean and spacious.
