The staff at Château Saint John were absolutely amazing—genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. You can tell service is a top priority here. The rooms? They’re clean and comfortable, but definitely showing their age. Not a dealbreaker, though, especially with such a convenient location. It’s close to everything, making it easy to explore the city or get where you need to go.

The hosptality at this hotel was one of a kind! Our family was visiting St. John due to a loss of a close family member. All the staff was extremely kind and helpful, always made you feel at home. Special shoutout note to the breakfast team! The people served food with so much love that it cannot go unnoticed!

Chateau Saint John

Fantastic staff but they need to do a reno. Very bad damp smell as carpets are old. Very old stained couch in rooms. The bed skirt and drapes looked like never been cleaned or steem cleaned like forever. Damp smell also from the drapes and not only very old carpet in room. Other Chateau hotels are really nice in Atlantic Camada compared to this one ( comparing with the one in Moncton and Halifax). Price per night should be 50% less from Moncton or Halifax as it’s really run down compared to both.

Two days we stayed with you Everything was wonderful. The staff the cleanliness the atmosphere all very very good. The only concern was breakfast, which was below what we expected as the crowded dining room as well as pancake machine, which wasn’t working properly was the only negative.

Good spot for a visit to the Port City.

Amazing by normal hotel standards, outstanding for Wyndham standards. Breakfast was included and was gluten friendly (by virtue of the staff managing the eggs/meat/potatoes for guests, keeping it behind the bar.)
