Overall had a good stay. Rooms are definitely tired. But they were clean for the most part. Beds are firm. And plenty of feather pillows. Had a hard time getting a non feather pillow. The area is perfect for walking saint john

The location is great, very central and great view of the bay from our room. The staff are also very friendly. That's about it. This Hilton doesn't live up to the brand name - it's holiday inn quality at best. This is fine, but the nightly rate is far too high for what you actually get. The rooms, lobby, and facilities are dated, although not sure what era they ever looked good.

Friendly staff, easy check-in. Area around the hotel is very industrial, as the docks are right near the hotel. But the waterfront walk is nice, with several dining spots to choose from.

Disappointed

Went with my husband and friend. Every hotel Ive ever gone to about 5,there was always normal synthetic pillows, so I never thought a hotel would even use a feather pillow knowing theres so many with allergies now. He laid down 20 minutes on the feather pillow and was so bad, he had to leave and go home to get medication and didnt feel better til about 4-5am. If there was a warning of such pillows, I wouldve mentioned it when paying online, but I didnt know theyd have them. I mentioned it to the staff and just said Hilton uses feather pillows and i shouldve mentioned it on my order online. Felt terrible he had to leave. Now I know but honestly, it was too much money for one night. No microwave or kettle. You can pay $10/night for microwave. I said no. It was a comfortable bed and they brought normal pillows and a couple blankets. The pool was nice and not too cold. It was almost too warm in the room but once in the pool, its not too bad. No hot tub but a nice swim in the pool. Was a nice breakfast, continental. It was $20/person I was told but if you dont pay online when you order your room online. Its $25/person at restaurant. Its buffet style. Good food. Overall, if I had known about feather pillows, we couldve had a better experience.

Staff was friendly but that's the only good thing to say! The room smelled very bad, solid window so can't open to air it out. Air exchanger was noisy and did nothing to remove the smell. Tub is very small and outdated and the drain didn't close properly so the water ran out. There was mold on the tub calking. Avoid Room 514!

The location was excellent. The property demands updates which I believe they are attempting at this time. The room we were in was harbor view but there was one window we could not even see out of because of condensation. The one lounge chair we had should not have been in the room because it was so stained/dirty. Carpet was not clean The hotel was a wonderful place years ago and it can be that again.

The hotel is older as previous reviews mention but they seem to be doing reno work. Our room was clean just dated with patch repairs. Parking was the biggest issue, the parking is at the mall across the street and the clearance is only 6’1”, no chance my truck would fit, thankfully there are 3 spots behind the hotel, I was able to make a 4th by parking partly on the sidewalk. Truck owners beware if you’re planning to park at the hotel, not sure what I would have done if I couldn’t park behind the hotel. There was also a family with an suv that had a roof carrier that wouldn’t fit either, I think the hotel should be upfront of the lack of parking for larger vehicles.
