A surprisingly pleasant experience! The exterior (with its pointed, shingled room) has a pleasing, homey, feeling, and there's ample grassy space out back surrounding the pool. My room faced that way, the night was entirely quiet, and my sleep long and restorative. The rooms (upstairs anyway) are perfectly comfortable with windows that open wide. A basic (though hardy) breakfast buffet is even included. Staff are friendly and helpful. I could not recommend the place more if you're passing through Cornwall.

This was a total gem on our Trans-Canada road trip. The room was cosy and comfy. Everything was very clean. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet at Hops and Barley in the hotel was FANTASTIC. 10/10 stay.

Musty smell on the first floor and dated, small rooms. Bed was smaller than expected and uncomfortable. Refrigerator was non functional. Layout of the hotel was a single hallway so lots of through traffic and noise carried into the rooms. Housekeeping arrived at 930 when checkout was at 11.

We were 100% happy with this, our first stay, at this BW. Hotel was well maintained in all aspects that we encountered, including our room that had everything we'd need! Bathroom was spotless! Breakfast buffet (free) was both hot & cold depending on your preferences. We opted for the scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon & home fries. Muffins etc., were also on hand. All in all, nothing was left out!! We were VERY happy in staying here and will be back again when we're in Cornwall!

Friendly staff. Carpets in the rooms are tired and old. But the building is cute and quaint, pool looks like it would be fun in the summer. All hotels should have ear plugs available for guests, and they didn't. Also breakfast ended way too early at 9am. Windows in the room are too small and only one window, but not much they can do about that. All in all a nice stay.
