This was our favourite hotel during our 2 week trip. First, the location is fantastic and just a 5 min drive to the beach and shorter into town. Second, the rooms are fantastic! Everything was practical and well thought through. It was well ventilated and also had all the amenities we needed, plus everything was clean! Last, and what brought everything together is Phil and (I belive) his family who runs this place. He was friendly, accommodating, offered to help with our luggage, and even suggested to visit the wonderful park opposite the street. He even mentioned a free glow worm site but unfortunately we were unable to go for this. I would recommend this motel without reservation, especially if you need a pit stop before driving to Christchurch, though I wished we had stayed longer. Really love what Phil is doing with this place!

Incredibly modern and clean unit - equipped with pretty much anything you'd need. Parking was easy. Close to city center, very accessible by car (minutes away). Staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful.

Can’t recommend this motel enough. Our room was a really generous size, tastefully and thoughtfully furnished with everything we needed.Everyone was so friendly and gave us some great recommendations for the area. The location is perfect - walkable to everything but quiet too. We’d happily have stayed longer if we had the time.

The staff was very courteous. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was a fabulous place to stay on our drive down the West Coast. It was about mid-point so we could enjoy all the scenic views and still get the rest needed for the next day.
