The pet relief area was excellent. Hotel room was clean. The beds are too high off the ground. Why do hotels need to have the beds 4’ from the ground.

I was told by the front desk that this property is 5 years old, but it felt brand new. It had a "big hotel" feel thanks to the lobby, which is airy and welcoming. It's the first place you encounter off the highway, and it looks out on a vast expanse of nothingness (ok, desert vista), which is lovely. Very reasonable dog policy and there's a nice place to walk dogs on Navajo Blvd. Room was spotless and comfortable, nice big counter space in bathroom, good quality pillows (not wimpy) and linens, great shower. Practically across the street is the Bienvenidos restaurant, which is absolutely adorable inside and had the nicest waitresses and a very big menu. I've done five cross-country road trips in the last 3 years and this was my favorite stop by far.

sparkling new looking oasis along I-40, great place from which to explore the Painted Desert or just overnight along the way across country, short hot on to Winslow and the meteor crater and museum and hop, skip and a jump to Albuquerque the other direction. Very dog friendly hotel with super friendly and supportive staff and seemingly relaxed and friendly other patrons.
