Should you decide to visit Iwamizawa, book a room as early as possible, because you won't find a wide range of hotel options in close proximity to Iwamizawa's downtown.

For those coming from downtown Iwamizawa, it is 30 kilometres to the Sapporo Kitahiroshima Classe Hotel.

Once you've really explored Iwamizawa, why not tour a little more of the region? The Hokkaido vicinity has many other things to offer. Hokkaido is blessed with coastal plains. Commonly visited Hokkaido visitor attractions are the traditional villages and old towns. Popular activities in this part of Japan include snowboarding, skiing and cross-country skiing.

If you love sports and want to watch local games, you might choose to head to Sapporo Dome, which is 35 kilometres to the southwest of Iwamizawa. Those sports fans wishing to stay close to the stadium can select from the Renaissance Sapporo Hotel or the Ascent Inn Sapporo.

New Chitose Airport is located 45 kilometres from the centre of Iwamizawa. Should you wish to stay close by, you can easily secure a room at the Crowne Plaza Ana Chitose or the Hotel Wing International Chitose.
