MBH is an older property but generally well- maintained inside and out. We experienced a problem with our room shortly after checkin, but the staff was very gracious in providing an alternative. Rexie was the bellman on duty when we checked in and he was very helpful in getting us settled and with advice on walking distance restaurants. Good location and quiet.

The pictures online are not accurate compared to the actual rooms they have. I feel like I paid too much money for the quality. The pool is located on the roof in the front of the hotel. Not much space up there and it’s just awkward. The room was very crammed, the good part of it was that the AC was working.

I have multiple pictures to prove how dirty this place is. We got “upgraded” to a nicer room. To then find out the room was in the same condition as the one prior and we were able to visibly see bed bugs on the beds. I am highly allergic to bug bites so seeing that was very concerning to which I would need medical attention if I did get bit. We told the front desk multiple times with pictures included about our experience and she stated there was no manager on shift and we would need to go through Expedia for the full refund. I do not recommend anyone to stay there. We even encountered another guest who was very upset about her stay & was also taking pictures of the lobby area. Staff seemed very unbothered.

The rooms on the backside of the hotel are right next to the road. The road noise was persistent throughout the night, including cars playing very loud music, doing peel outs and what sounded like racing! The quality and size of the room for the price was disappointing, based on the picture that we had seen online. The hotel is overall looking quite tired. A disappointing start to our trip.

Underwhelmed

We arrived late and needed a hotel close to the airport for just one night. While it served that purpose, the price—around $250—felt more like what you'd expect from a $70 Motel 6 on the mainland. The hallways had worn-out carpets in need of replacement, and while the rooms were small, they were at least clean. The entrance was basic, outdated, and uninviting. The pool area was barebones, lacking any real decor. While it was oceanfront, the outdoor space was minimal, with a grassy area and a few scattered toys. Inside, there was a pool table and a couple of other activity setups, but nothing particularly impressive. Overall, the hotel felt overpriced and underwhelming, with additional resort and parking fees tacked on. It seems like a classic case of supply and demand driving up prices on Maui. No passion for excellence, just look at the world clocks,...all wrong, but free drip coffee...lol

We stayed because it was close to the airport and had an early flight out. That said we were struck by the beauty of the hotel’s interior and its outdoor courtyard with unexpected views, seating areas and immaculately cared for area. I would most definitely stay again if the traffic construction and that at the hotel was finished.

Quick stay the night before we caught a flight back home. We arrived around 230pm and a room wasn’t available yet until check in at 3pm which was no big deal, we got to do a little shopping in the busy surrounding area! Plenty to choose from, plenty to eat, and close to the airport.

Outstanding staff and service. These folks went way above and beyond to accommodate my needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I did ask to move rooms as my first room was on the highway side and quite noisy. For the price and location though, many would not care about that. Mahalo for a perfect stay 💜.
