Not impressed with the queen room with resort view - our view was of the broken down shed at the back edge of the property. The resort itself was beautiful so a resort view room would have been amazing. The hairdryer in the room was covered in something gross and sticky which I was not expecting when I paid over $300 a night

Summary great location, great vibes just a little older so be prepared for less than perfect. Great location, great view of the sunrise. Property gives a feeling that a lot of people are regulars and have been going there for a long time with extended family holiday vibes. The property itself is older and a little tatty around the edges please don’t let that put you off it’s a great spot. The Atlantic’s edge restaurant isn’t great I had a steak and it was the toughest fattiest piece of steak I think I’ve ever experienced. The second night we went to the beach cafe off site for dinner which was great and offered a lovely beach to watch the sunset.

Property is beautiful with tons of amenities. The room was very nice and overall we were very happy. Here are a few of the issues we had though for full transparency. The beach is sand, but it's hard in a way that's a bit unnatural and doesn't flow into the water. There were weddings on two nights we were there and the noise from the afterparty was loud in the rooms even with the doors shut. The noise went fairly late into the evening past when most places would have a noise curfew of sorts for the respect of other guests. The water temperature in the shower was either hard to control or broken as sometimes it was extremely hot and sometimes barely warm. The roof mounted fill for the outside tub was a neat feature, but it was very loud. When we checked in our room was not available. We were promised a call when it was ready, but never got one. We finally asked at the check in time and they said it was ready and we were supposed to have been given a call some time ago. We also noticed that every time we overheard the check-in information being given to a new guest, we heard information that had not been given to us. Parking was limited later in the evening and we struggled to find a spot. The alternative is to use valet, but I rarely opt for that unless it is required.

We stayed in the newest section of the Cheeca Lodge. It is so incredibly nice! We had other family staying in the lagoon area. We enjoyed all the activities on the property as well. My nephew especially loved the par3 golf course. I really loved the staff at Cheeca Lodge too. Shelia, Amber and David were our poolside attendants, and Jessica at the front desk was very helpful.

This was a great property. Numerous dining options. I was so impressed with the grouper sandwich, possibly the best that I’ve eaten in 30 years in Florida and the Florida Keys. The customer service staff was amazing and so thorough informing guest at check-in of all of the amenities available to enjoy.
