Clean but a bit tired

The unit was exceptionally clean and well stocked with much of what we needed I.e. toilet paper, garbage bags, dish soap and the bath towels were plush but the bed pillows were pretty flat and the pullout couch was NOT comfortable. The patio and furniture were pretty worn and not particularly comfy. One of the beach chairs wasn’t in great shape but the other once was fine. The location of this unit in the building was excellent- close to the BBQ but not too close to the pool or the tennis courts. This unit was cheaper than the unit we stayed in for our last visit to Maui six years ago and we knew it wouldn’t be as nice but I feel like it could have been upgraded without spending too much but I guess owners/ landlords know they can fill the units with those of us from snowier locations!

Great Value

We extended our stay an additional 4 days. Gave us a good rate. The condo is just as described. Well equipped with most everything you need. I may suggest a safe for the guests to put valuables in. Good location if your looking for something off from the street noise. There is a little bit of a walk from the unassigned parking lot. Great location if you like Tennis or Pickle Ball. We enjoyed both. Sort walk to the pool off of the lanai. Great small pool with good lounge chairs. BBQ not too far from the front door.

Good location across the street from Nice beach. Restaurants and shops for your needs nearby. Condo was good. Dated and mostly clean but was worn. Wike the quiet ground floor corner location.

Groundfloor property great for four seniors. Grounds and pool were beautifully taken care of. Kitchen could use some Tupperware for food storage. Sofa bed and bedroom bed need new mattresses. Condo needs a professional paint job throughout. Except for those items listed, we were quite happy with this rental.

An Abri in a Beautiful Land

We didn't come to spend time in a condo. We came to see Maui. But when we returned at the end of a busy day, it was a welcoming refuge to rest, cook, and sleep. It was clean. It was easy to enter, easy to leave. Parking was available. Everything worked. We'd take it again.

Neglected unit.

Maui Vista is a great set of buildings, well kept grounds in a terrific location. We have stayed several times in Maui Vista and loved it. This unit not so much. It was terribly neglected. The ceiling was filthy with dirt around the fans so when you lie on the bed you see the dirt. The drapes were filthy. The bath tap was so old that it hardly worked. There were felt marker scribbles on the walls and outside furniture. There was gooey stuff splattered all over the inside of the front door and the walls had dirty spots all over the place. The bed was so old and squeaky that you awakened your partner ever time you moved. The other units we stayed in previously were nicely decorated and you always felt like you were in Hawaii. This one had only one ugly picture in the bedroom and one in the living room. No other decorations in the whole unit. It just looked and felt like a slum apartment. If you like to cook, your out of luck. Every knife was so dull that you couldn’t cut your finger if you tried let alone a tomato. There wasn’t even a bottle opener and the dishes and glasses looked like a random collection gathered from a dumpster. Other units provided a bit of coffee to get you started and plenty of supplies. This one came with a warning that you got 2 rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towel 2 little laundry packets. No spices or other supplies. The beach umbrella was usless and there were no other amenities. The place was just run down and it felt like a slum apartment. Even the plugins were so d that in 1/2 of them the iphone charger wouldn’t work or would fall out on th floor. Whoever owns this is a total cheapskate. The other units we stayed in were really nice and cared for and it felt like you were staying in someone’s home so you felt like it was a privilege to stay there. This one left you felt like you were ripped off. I have never written a bad review before but I was hoping to warn people to pick the unit carefully. Maui Vista is great but this unit should be sold or locked up for good. It gives Maui Vista a bad reputation and next time we are going to go elsewhere because of this experience.
