I see why this was more affordable than others

The room was loud from the blowing A/C unit and the fan above. Additionally, there was a loud walker upstairs. More uncomfortable was the dampness in the room. Just seemed that the humidity was high and I was in a just barely damp comforter. The room was dark too as the ceiling was low and there was lots of foliage out the back window. It's not beachfront like the photo seems to show.

Older property and nothing fancy but suited our needs for a couple of nights. We had a penthouse suite garden view which had lots of room for only 2 of us. Unit was clean, small pool and jacuzzi that we did not use. Complex was quiet and had a nice beach across the road for morning walks.

Safe and quite, nicely appointed interior renovations. They upgraded me to a waterfront view, which was very nice. The only issue was the shower didn't get very hot, just warm. Other than that, great!

Great place to stay!

Front desk service was friendly. I checked in late after a long work day and she helped end my day on a positive note. The room was comfortable. A small area rug would have been nice, but the bed was comfortable and the fridge had ample room for everything.

The hotel notified me of their cancellation of my room the day of arrival. Actually it showed up in my notes once we landed in Maui. So I was not happy with them. Found other arrangements on hotel.com. A hope you want to stay a trip

We loved the resort amenities like day use of beach umbrellas, chairs, and beach towels. There was an ice machine and water bottle filling machine and they had snacks in the morning and the afternoon. There was a pool and a hot tub

First I can not say enough about the staff at Kohea Kai. They really made us feel welcomed from when we first stepped onto the property. Nestled right across the street from the beach and minutes drive down to Safeway and Foodland, this was the perfect location for us on our trip in Maui. It was also 8 mins from our first surfing lessons. The room was big, comfortable with a nice kitchen. While it did show some signs of age, it was lovely and homey and our kids loved it. There is a small pool and hot tub. A nice outdoor event space to just relax at night with romantic lighting. And there is one washer and dryer for guest to use at $2/load. Parking is available on property.

Front staff was excellent. Easy check in/out. Staff kept us updated on road closures to the hotel and gave us excellent directions to the hotel. I was a little nervous about staying at the hotel due to the resent storms knowing they were close to the damage but rooms were fantastic and staff was wonderful. We will be back!
