We didn't realize this room wasn't a regular hotel room attached to the hotel but a rental property that someone owns and rents out. The room is small with a king size bed taking ip most of the space, 2 nightstands, a desk with drawes, closet and bathroom to the left of the bed. Theres also a chair that isn't necessary and just takes up space. Walking around the bed at night we kept hitting our leg on the wood frame. Shower is low stepped, vanity is decent size with drawers.

The good: Beach is amazing including the snorkeling. Store has everything you need, a little more expensive but not ridiculous. The bad: weird check-in and service. The rooms are obviously managed by different companies. Front desk isn't necessarily your main contact. They call someone else. The 'B' rooms are tiny......only enough room to sleep. No ice....have to buy it for $5 per bag at the store. Overall, we'd come back to this area but not sure if we would do the 'B' room.

Room was clean and convenient. Amenities were great! Was nice to park car and walk to beach. Staff was amazing. Would definitely return but stay longer. Convenience store on property and fully stocked. Absolutely perfect vacation.

Hotel is a 3-star standard. Walls are very thin and you can hear neighbors and also smell the ramen cooking next door. The split units A/B have an entrance door which is very loud and creaks. The facility is run down and has great potential with updating and renovating. Air conditioning did not have its own condenser and relied on the other unit for functioning. Internet and TV was not working- swift response to replace router but TV still never connected to the Samsung network. Can’t beat the location if you can tolerate the 2-3 star facility.

The room was clean, but very dated. The bedding was poor quality. The mattress was so old and uncomfortable I considered finding another place to stay. The front desk did not seem able to provide any customer service unless they first checked with the manager. And the manager never seemed to be around. After three nights of trying to work with a solution for the ancient mattress, it was replaced. Bed pillows were equally poor quality. With one exception, front desk staff was indifferent and unconcerned with providing customer service. Maid service was every third day. Given the room cost, it is my opinion maid service should be every day. Parts of the hotel were under construction, and were closed to guests. This was not disclosed in the reservation. The location of the Mana Kai is the best, but it was not enough for us to return, given the other negative issues.
