BBQ at the pool area and in condo was great.We had some 8 people for dinner and was enjoyed by all. Quite time at pool is different then townhouse. Rules are strictly enforced.

Everything felt new and clean. Kitchen well equipped. Several ways to make coffee. Also had teapot and electric kettle for us tea drinkers. Private. Quiet neighborhood. 15 min from best beaches in the state. Towels and linens excellent. Bed very comfortable. Airy. With ceiling fans did not need ACCheck in was easy but vague. Instructions said “it’s all in the ohana”. We were not sure where to park when we first got there, and did not find out until next morning when we saw Kimi. Also not sure how to lock the property until we saw Kimi. Binder of instructions could have included a map to find the poolThe listing said there was a printer and office supplies. Did not need them but I did not see them Binder could have also told us where to find the beach chairsBut we loved the place. Perfect for two people. Outdoor space in the back had sunset view. Front lanai was lovely. Very good value for the price in that location I would absolutely stay there again. I put in ‘negatives’ about the check in because clearer instructions would help. But the property itself—wonderful

What an amazing location! From the beautiful sun rises over Mauna Kea, the gentle crashing waves you can hear from the bedrooms. This house is perfect. We stayed for a week and the house was perfect for our small family with small children. Puako is a charming community, it feels safe, and the beach across the street has gentle waves for the littles to enjoy.

Great stay overall! Comfortable beds, safe and quiet neighborhood and great communication with hosts. We opted for the coffee tour experience and loved every part of it, especially seeing the family in action :) Would definitely stay again and will make sure to bring plenty of quarters for Meow Meow.

Overall it was a great stay. The house is as pictured with everything you need for a vacation with a small family. The kitchen was very well stocked and also had some leftover pantry staples from past guests. There were lots of leftover beach supplies — chairs, boogie boards, kid snorkels, beach toys — some in better shape than others. The bbq on the lanai was a nice bonus for dinners. The drawbacks, for us:The king bed in the master bedroom was VERY firm. At one point we tried adding the “extra mattress” from the closet, which was really just a flimsy foam pad, but it didn’t even help. The twin beds in the kids room were super creaky and my kid doesn’t even weigh that much.While the AC was wonderful and worked great, the filters were absolutely filthy. We were there during some major volcanic activity so that could be forgiven but it was quite the build up on all four units. The ice maker leaked while we were there and I got zero response from my message letting them know that was happening. The lack of response was more of an issue than the ice maker leaking. The long term tenant downstairs was lovely but as others have mentioned he is a smoker and it meant we couldn’t use our lanai or have our windows open sometimes. We could also hear his tv quite clearly even with windows closed and could distinctly hear when he sneezed, which seems absurd since I can’t hear someone sneeze downstairs in my own house. So just be aware that the floor/walls are quite thin.
