Beautiful, peaceful and comfortable lakeside hotel with clean & modern rooms. Beautiful outdoors hot spring. Staff very friendly and professional. Breakfast is a set menu every day with several small dishes, western/Japanese mix. Free coffee all day!
There's no casual restaurant option for dinner though, only a very fancy fine dining course starting at ยฅ7000 per person. If you don't want to pay that much for your evening meal, you need to drive into the town or bring food with you. There's no shops or restaurants within walking distance of this hotel, it is in a very quiet area.
We enjoyed our stay at the Prince Hotel. The grounds was picturesque and the dinners were exquisite. We were fortunate to make reservations for the shuttle between Tawadako and the hotel. I am not sure what arrangements the hotel would make if the shuttle filled up or if you needed to travel outside the shuttle schedule.
The hotel is isolated, with a beautiful view of the lake. However, No other option for dinner nearby. They hold you as a "captive guest" and the dinner is extremely expensive. Almost no English at the reception desk.
