Great place to relax, with very friendly and helpful staff. Close proximity to shops, restaurants and massage places. As a return guest, I would like to add that Discovery Kartika has great and good size pools onsite, but the smooth tiles around the pools; are a big safety hazard (seen few people sliding on it and nearly injuring themselves). Also, the full room charge for late departure is a sting (wish Kartika was like Legian beach hotel, where you are allowed to keep your suitcases safely with the hotel on your last day, provided shower before your flight; at no additional cost. Otherwise, fantastic resort and would not hesitate to come back.

Nice breakfast but outdated room and wet beddings

Firstly the breakfast choices are really big, vegetarian,Asian and western cuisine, guarantee you have something to eat. And the choices are different every day, really a highlight for the stay. The swimming pool is also nice to swim inside and the water is warm, feeling relax. The hotel location is perfect, close to discovey mall, lippo mall, kuta art market and Carla spa. There is something makes us not happy during the stay. The beddings are wet, we are not sure what causes it, the weather or aircon. But it is really hard to sleep with wet beddings and felt sick afterwards. Never experience it in other kuta hotels. Another thing is our room is oceanfront room, supposed to enjoy the sea breeze at the balcony, but the fire cooking facility is just in front of room, very very smoky everyday, didn't enjoy anything. Overall it is very disappointing stay for a five star hotel.

Quick getaway

Meant to be a five star resort but definitely isn't. The rooms are desperate for an update, especially the bathroom. No mini bar, toiletries for a 5 star resort are basic and not replaced. Food at restaurants are basic and expensive. No rewards given for being VIP with hotels.com as stated when booking. The spa was absolutely amazing along with the staff there, about the only good thing.

Amazing find.

This hotel is a great find, it’s on the beach and very conveniently located in the centre of Kuta and right next door to a big shopping mall. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel has great facilities, albeit the pool could do with a tidy up and good clean. We are in the steak restaurant which was really good and the breakfast selection is one of the best I’ve seen in terms of variation and quality. We only stayed one night before our flight but wish we’d stayed longer.
