Great value and service

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We were a big group and the accommodations were outstanding for my party size. It’s close to many sights and the hotel offers a free shuttle to the nearest metro station which is also convenient.

Excellent Hotel and rooms as well as very friendly staff. Breakfast options were great as well. The only downside was that their onsite restaurants did not offer very much in terms of vegetarian food options. So, we had to travel into town for meals. The hotel is away from the main town area. Otherwise, the stay was really comfortable.

Kyoto Brighton Hotel is a hidden gem. It's outside of the city center (near the old Imperial Palace) but it's only 15 minutes from the city center and outstanding for the price. Staff is super and breakfast always great. Rooms are good size and clean. I always stay here when I visit Kyoto.

As too often in Japan, stairs from floors are locked; I.e. you must use elevator to go down or up. This is a real safety hazard.
