If you have high standards for a hotel then this one ain't for you. Fairly comparable to a holiday inn. The hotel is nice and clean but just be aware of what the hotel does not offer/have. The front desk staff are great! Pros: Restaurant on property 7Eleven downstairs Clean Staff is very friendly and helpful Near train station (4 min walk) Lots of nearby restaurants Rooms good size Housekeeping did great job Laundry rooms available Cons; Restaurant only open for breakfast Self check in at machine and check out Rooms do not have closet Rooms do not have face/wash clothes (but they do have weird body towels downstairs to grab) I ended up buying a real one at 7Eleven Toilet paper is super thin You have to go down to pick up iron No gift shop No gym

You can go around the corner and be at an elevator to get to the Shinkansen gate at the Kyoto Station. We stayed five nights and the room served the purpose. Breakfast places in the area do not open till 9 or 10, so plan on eating at a convience store or one of the hotel dining. Breakfast was more expensive in Kyoto than all other cities we went in Japan. This hotel has some Western items as choices but mostly Asian.

It is near the JR station and there is a 7 eleven just next to the hotel. Hotel guests can enter the 7 eleven via a special entrance. Sound proofing in the room is excellent as our room is near the lift but we never hear any noise outside.

Fairly standard hotel. Online check in check out was easy but very impersonal and you felt like a number. I suppose that’s Japan for you, some things are very robotic and others are very different. Can’t complain as the hotel served its purpose of a sleep and shower services. Very close to station which was a bonus but in hindsight would’ve stayed closer to the action
