so we knew we didn’t sign up for the Ritz Carlton, and we knew that this was a Lake George motel, not a five star hotel. And, we were very very pleasantly surprised, with a large spotlessly, clean room, a hard shower, comfy beds, lovely neighbors in neighboring rooms, a sweet swimming pool not on the highway like many are, but down at the water edge, wonderful, lounging spaces, beautiful lounge, and Adirondack chairs, a large deck off the back of the property, with a swim area in the lake, and the loveliest surprise of an elevated deck with chairs, benches, and fire pits! The serenity and the beauty all around us was priceless! Very grateful to the Lake motel’s owner for caring so deeply about this property. Much of it is renovated. The staircases need improvement, and the railings of the upstairs deck need a good paint job. Of course, as others have said, the parking is a nuisance, however, in light of all the other wonderful things about this motel, including the price, we can’t complain.

This property gave all the appearances that it had very recently been renovated. The upgraded taken place particularly in the bathrooms. The fixtures, tub, toilet and sink appeared to be very new, bright and spanking clean. The bedroom area was spacious and the bedding was super clean and fresh also very comfortable. The outside facilities could accommodate many families for fun and relaxing on the many deck levels, there were lounges, chairs grills and swimming/boating. This property is conveniently located to walk everywhere in the village. We had a blast and will return again

Beautiful views at The Lake Hotel. The pool was beautiful with a view of the lake as you swim. Plenty of seating in the pool area. The many fire pits at night was an amazing way to unwind after a busy day. Easily walkable to town. Staff at the hotel were all very nice and helpful.

Great motel. Has a pool and a dock right on the lake for swimming, kayaks, SUPs. Great views and easy walk to food, shopping. It is a motel, so your door enters out to the parking. Parking is a little jammed in there, but fine unless you’re driving a big rig. Then it might be a little tight. Only issue we had is that our room smelled like cigarette smoke from the previous guests. We couldn’t switch rooms because the place sold out. Hotel staff helped us out with an ionizer and we made the best of it with the windows open since it was July anyway so no big deal in the end. But it’s a good summertime place to crash if you’re in Lake George. Kids really love it and it’s conveniently located. Plus you want a place that has access to the lake like this one.

Great experience

Clean cozy rooms, great views of Lake George and they offer family fun activities each evening such as making sundaes and root-beer floats and s’mores. Short walk to Shepard park and the center of town.

Paper thin walls, you could hear everyone and everything in other rooms and outside. The room was also very loud, the dated AC unit in the room prevented us from sleeping all night. Also, the whole room was shaking when someone was walking on the same floor - literally. Overall a very unpleasant stay although the motel is nicely located and offers a fun pool and patio. I would never return.
