Hotel room was in great condition and very clean. Most of the staff were fantastic, a few could have been more pleasant. We dined in the restaurant above the pool area on our first night. This was not an enjoyable experience at all. The staff were less than happy looking, when the kids meals arrived.. they had ordered burgers and chips and when I say the burgers were tiny I’m not exaggerating. My husband and myself ordered fish and chips, the fish was lovely but the chips were extremely greasy and mushy peas were like hard paste. I asked for some vinegar and the man told me there was none as they had run out a few days ago…then the bill..so expensive and not worth it. Compared to our stay the previous year the dining experience had went drastically down hill so we ended up eating out for the remaining four nights we stayed.
Breakfast was mainly great, good selection and fresh food from the kitchen on request. Could do with weetabix for the kids as it does state they have it on the menu but couldn’t be found.
Pool area with steam room and sauna are lovely, some of the ceiling tiles above the pool have seen better days and really stand out in such a clean and up to date area. Changing rooms are well equipt but missing many locker keys. Over all I was pleased with the stay but having stayed four times previously over this past few years there is definitely an obvious change in the attention to detail and it’s nothing that can’t be simply fixed but I may try elsewhere in future.
