Walking distance to the convention center. Area around the hotel is a little sketchy. Staff was very nice, Ruby was amazing. Kitchens in rooms are nice, no breakfast or pool.

The chairs in the room were old, beat up and torn, didn't match. The towel rack in the bathroom fell off the wall and the door to bedroom looked like it was kicked in on both sides. Towels were not changed and coffee in room was not refilled. We were there 3 nights for a funeral and didn't spend much time in the room. Very clean and staff were very nice. Couldn't sleep on pull out sofa two thin and no bedding. Staff were very accommodating in changing our room two a two bed at an extra $30.00 charge per night. This is the third time I've stayed at Sonesta Suites so I was very surprised.

I spoke to Ruby the day of check in (3-16-2025) about checking in at 2:00 which she said she should be able to do. I get there and they aren't checking anybody in while they deal with flooding. I made arrangements to have my partner check in when they were ready. That staff left their shift and didn't update the woman taking over who refused. So, I had to stop performing (I'm a musician) to go back to the hotel to check her in (she had my wallet/ID). This was VERY inconvenient and showed a lack of internal communication. There are homeless people behind the hotel, piles of dog crap around the hotel and our air conditioner only worked part of the time.

The staff need to be a little more cautious on the words when it comes to ADA. I managed to continue to stay with no issues but I was concerned and ready to contact legal counsel. Other than that the property was acceptable and has so much potential to be even better in future.

I would not recommend this hotel for people with disabilities. Even if you have to spend a little more, it's worth finding a better hotel. The rooms are not clean, and there was no hot water in the shower. I believe every hotel should ensure that rooms are properly checked for working amenities and cleanliness before guests arrive. Travelers shouldn't have to deal with room issues and wait for them to be fixed. They're here to relax, not to troubleshoot the problems in their room. Having to wait for repairs or even move rooms with all your luggage wastes time and money that could have been spent on enjoying the vacation. My entire half day was wasted waiting for a technician to fix the shower. After he claimed the hot water was working, we left for sightseeing, but the same problem occurred the next day. When I called the reception at 7 a.m., they said the technician was busy, after following up couple of times the technician finally arrived at 9 a.m. and said the problem couldn't be fixed, so they offered to move me to a new room. I didn’t want to move because I had already unpacked and didn’t feel well, but I had no choice as I couldn’t take a cold shower. Moving to a new room wasted another half day, and I couldn’t go sightseeing until after 4 p.m. These kinds of issues take away from the time and money travelers want to invest in their vacation. Hotels should thoroughly check rooms and amenities before assigning them to guests. Also, it’s important to be polite and respec

The room was less than average. Towels had red hair in them. Shower wasnt clean, had black foot prints. The entire building smells of cigarettes although its a no smoke property. The cleaning staff is nice but the front desk guy is rude. He called some guys "f idiots" when they checked in asking about parking. Then started raising his voice at them when they asked him where the their room was located. Like that is HIS job. Mind you, this was infront of other guests who just look at one another in surprise with his behavior. You may save some money staying here but I highly suggest just paying more for your buck elsewhere.

Our arrival yesterday was a mix of pleasant and frustrating. While the two staff members greeting us were friendly, our urgent need for restrooms after a five-hour drive from LA was overshadowed by their prolonged welcome. After finally checking into our room, we found it aesthetically pleasing, but discovered a shortage of towels for our party of three. We received only a 'set and a half' of towels. Additionally, we expected amenities like slippers, which were not provided. When we inquired, we were told to purchase them from a nearby Target. Our room's location at the far end of the hotel was inconvenient. We had to drive to the back, near the pool, to access our second-floor room, which was one of the last rooms in the hallway. This distance from the front desk was not mentioned during check-in. The following morning, we requested more towels and were told to bring the used towels to the front desk for an exchange. This was particularly inconvenient given our room's location at the opposite end of the hotel, and the fact that the elevator was out of order

Horrible hotel

It was a very old and dirty hotel. The bathroom was clean but the drain in the sink was plugged up. The gym was a joke. Two of three treadmills did not work and the one that did was as old as the hotel. The “gym” room was smaller than a studio room. And it was filthy with many dead bug carcasses etc. I would never stay there again.
