We got a upgrade when we signed in..that was nice, one robe missing and they brought it up but it took over an hour but it was check in time so i get it. Was not impressed with paying $70.00 for a the breakfast that i ate yogurt and my friend had just some fruit...had i known we were going to get charged for it we wouldnt of gone , we would of stop elsewhere on our way home. We thought it was complimentary.

The staff were friendly and very helpful but they were very understaffed for a long weekend and I had to wait 3 hours just to get a robe for the pool which I though should have already been in the room. I did have an amazing view of the lake from the top floor, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was stocked and clean. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment.
This was my view from the 6th floor in the west wing.

The location is great and the condition of the room that we stayed in (east tower) is okay. However, there were two issues that really troubled us and made our stay less enjoyable: 1) No robe in the rooms after check in. (We had two rooms)That's right - after we changed into our swimwear and ready to put on a robe to go downstairs and enjoy the hot spring - we realized that there is no robe in the room. After 3 phone calls and 60 mins wait - we finally got the robes. Lots of frustrations. 2) No pen and paper in the room. Guests have the option to do express check out by filling out a form and dropping it off at the front desk with the room key - that's nice but how do we do it without a pen? In addition, there is no safe in the room, but it did not bother us as much as the two issues mentioned above.

There was a line up to check in but it went smoothly.. didnt take too long.. we stayed kn the original building.. was quaint.. aheeta fresh, bed comfy.. relaxing on the pools was good.. rejuvinating.. would stay again..
