Condition of the property is bad. Our door needed to be slammed in order to close properly. Room was never cleaned and we didn’t get fresh towels or sheets till almost 10pm.

A day in Corpus.

Although the front desk personnel was friendly. I will never stay here again. Hotel is old and rundown. It needs a good upgrade. Breakfast was literally a few slices of bread. No coffee in the pot. No juice or water. Entrance of hotel is not welcoming. Very dusty and handprints all over the windows and doors. Pool was so dirty and water was not clear at all. Bery Dissapointed😔

The pictures of their rooms they post online are not even close to the real rooms. My wife and I took a vacation to Corpus and saw this hotel by the beach. The rooms looked nice, modern, and clean. To our surprise the rooms looked like an old "1970's motel". The room also smelled like smoke. It wasn't clean, and no toilet paper and soap. We checked out the next morning and stayed somewhere else. I'll never stay there again.

A 9 would of been a 10 but bartender rude

It was good vacation, good room n very clean, just one suggestion the outside bartender was kinda rude n lazy , I think she needs to work on her attitude towards the people staying there, been there 4 spring breaks never had a problem

DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Needs a huge remodeling. Pictures are probably from when they first opened and looks nothing like them now. We checked in. Parking was horrible. They used to have where you scan your room key to park. This was not the case any longer. Non stayers would park to go to the beach so left no room for hotel guests. Doors to rooms were not locked so anybody could have access. Doors used to use room key for access. Hallways smelled of marijuana. 1” gap under room door to hallway. Didn’t feel safe at all. Checked out and went to The Omni.

This property was very quiet and felt safe but it does need to be cleaned more. The floors was gritty and the sink was clogged. But the room had a magnificent view.

Avoid bartender she has no customer service skills

The hotel staff was amazing. We’ve been here since Saturday And very convenient! Only problem is the Bartender isn’t friendly at all she has very poor communication with guess. I purchased 3 rooms and I’ve paid well over $3000 in parking room stays ect… for us too be talked to poorly… just unexceptionable on all levels.

This was right on the beach so we were very excited. First of all there is no parking for hotel guests since the parking lot is shared with the public for beach access. They had to pay $10 for this. And as hotel guests, we had to pay $10 for parking. Should be free for guests. The cart to bring up the luggage was broken and very dirty. The elevators to the rooms were dirty. They have never been cleaned. The room was ok, but dirty. The floors were terrible. They are not mopped everyday. You could see the dirt spots. We had to wear socks, the bare floor got our feet dirty. Even after a shower make sure you put socks on. The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling and behind the sink facet looks like they are trying to grow potatoes behind it. The walls were thin, you could hear conversations in the other rooms. We paid $187 dollars for the room, a $100 dollar deposit refundable after they check the room the next day, and $10 for parking. We used a credit card at check in so it will be a couple of days before we are refunded. After the dirty room they should refund me more that $100. Do yourself a favor, go to the other side of town. Better hotels on that side.

This is my second time staying at the emerald and I was pretty disappointed with my visit—the only reason I booked this place was because I wanted my son to swim in the pool. He has autism and loves water and since the weather has not been good, I wanted to book specifically a hotel with an indoor pool. The first time I stayed at the hotel was lovely-my son had a lot of fun and it was overall a good trip so I figured, why not? It’s for his birthday. Upon arrival, I checked in, we bought pool toys, floaties and everything so we can have a fun pool day and the second we step in the cool, it was so cold to the point my son could not swim in it. Weird because the pool rules indicate water temps would be 80-85. I ended up letting hotel staff about the situation and they seemed puzzled and did not do anything about this. So we decided to visit the hot tub and it was so filthy. The water was BROWN and murky and there was patches of hair in it. When I alerted hotel staff, they cleaned it out but no further explanation was given to me about the cold pool. My stay was disappointing and I will probably not stay here anymore, I spent $150 and did not even enjoy my stay. At least the beds were comfy? I’ll give them that. But it was hard to get comfortable with the musty carpet smell.
