Arrived early in the morning, hotel has a 4pm check in. As we waited in the lobby we saw guests share concerns regarding their room. 1 guest qas moved due to the bed being soaked with urine which was obvious once the covers were pulled back. Another guests complained of being bitten multiples times through the night and asked about bed bugs, another guest used the ladies room near the lobby & exited complaining about the smell and lack of cleanliness. After hearing these conversations over an hour period I attempted to cancel through my booking site and was told it was at the discretion pf the hotel even though it was still 4 hours till check-in. I choose to secure lodging at a different hotel as we had 1-night in Miami & I had lost confidence in the Beacon as these concerns were brought to light.

My husband and I stayed at The Beacon Hotel from Oct 16–21, 2025, to celebrate his birthday. We chose it based on positive reviews, location, and inviting photos, but our experience was disappointing. The hotel looked outdated, and we weren’t told the elevator was broken until after check-in. Our 5th-floor room was small, poorly maintained, and had a broken microwave and window seal. The stairwell was filthy and damaged. The toilet malfunctioned daily, and though staff were polite, it was never fixed. Beach chairs were often unavailable or broken, and the bartender ignored us in favor of a friend. Despite friendly staff, the misleading photos, poor upkeep, and lack of accountability ruined our stay. Management refused even a partial refund, showing no concern for guest satisfaction. We urge travelers to choose another South Beach hotel.

Perfect location, very cool historic vibes, & friendly staff. The hotel definitely needs updating and the rooms did not match the pictures listed. The elevator was still broken and the staff said it would be fixed the next day, which it was not and made the 5th floor rooms difficult with luggage.

Terreble experience at Beacon Hotel Maimi -Never again and i would not recommend this place when I arrived I right away went up to notified the front desk that our room had a bad smell in it ...The young lady that checked us in said she could not move us since there were no rooms available, But that she guaranteed that we got the best room out of the whole Hotel It literally stunk and their were roaches in the restroom no coffee pods were available they said they were out of them period for the rooms no coffee cups to make coffee good thing i had a pod in my purse went to make it espresso machine doesnt't get hot great no coffee period went to front to see if the offer some from resturant nope just closed worse service and stay period didnt checkout due to the fact of not being able to find a room..... so i spent more time out of the room as posible my body spray phased out some of the smell also the mattress didn't even fit the bed if you didn't remember that ' that mattress hung way out from the boxspring/bed you would hit the floor I didn't request a handi -cap room but thats what they gave me .. I requested a double bed due to my 9 year old grandson going with me on this trip nope i got stuck with a king size poor service all around....

We only stayed one night after our cruise - the hotel was not that clean and the elevator was not working so we had to keep walking up and down the stairs which was a huge inconvenience with luggage
