The room smelled old and humid. There were stains on the carpet, a nightstand with the veneer basically peeling off, and rust creeping along the door frame. The tub had a huge 8x11 patch on the side, the ceiling has paint chipping off, and the bedsheet had a pen mark. None of that is cosmetic “oops” territory. It tells you the place hasn’t been maintained in a long time, and housekeeping isn’t catching what they should.
It’s not uninhabitable, but definitely below what most people expect from even a budget hotel. The kind of stay where you keep your socks on, avoid touching surfaces you don’t need to, and double-check your bags before checking out. Definitely not a hotel I will ever stay at again and will never recommend it.
