Overall my stay at the gates was amazing, friendly staff, extremely walkable areas, nice pool area, hot tub was secluded on the side. Sadly I did not have time to eat at the restaurant that seemed always empty. The beach is easily accessible from a quick 2-5 minute walk. Highly recommend taking the 5 mile round trip down the path to south pointe pier. Unfortunately as I checked out they said they I owed $12 for taking an “item” from there area even though that was completely false as I had bought all my hydration at CVS. I requested they check cameras at the timestamp they said I took it and call my provide an screenshot from said camera they did not and still charged me. Again this is absolutely criminal to do such a thing when the cameras do not show me ever taking anything from there so beware completely ruined my stay with this scammy method. Please let it be noted to check certain hotels areas around as while walking around certain good hotels were next to late night clubs and xxx like stores which are advertised as family friendly hotels. This hotel was good but others were not.

What i hated myself and partner were locked on our balcony for 3 hours until maintenance could come with a key because the balcony door lock was broken we had to call the police and that made thongs happen. I won't be staying their again

Mediocre at best

The room was not as shown on line the room online showed AA full window, overlooking the pool, got there and it was 2 corner windows. If you wanted to see the pool, you stood in the corner, waited about 6 hours to get into our room, no early check-in as other hotels usually get you in early. This actually was a few minutes late, then check-in time.. Asked for them to change our room. They couldn't that night. So the next day they did gave us the exact same room no point. First room had clunks in it beside the electrical room. Second room had a very loud noise, possibly from rooftop air conditioner. Slow elevators. At 1 point a worker with a big bin of garbage that stunk got into the elevator with us. Pool cushions were wet and dirty. Restaurant had limited food, no cream for coffee. Uggg

I love how I can walk to the beach and have access to the chairs from the hotel. It’s so clean inside. Walgreens 24/7 so I get whatever I need. Avis car rental is next door. Also, the amenities it has each night.
