Great little property with a lovely courtyard bar - 10 mins walk to the main train station and 30 minute walk to Duomo, with lots of small bars and restaurants close by too. I’m a solo female traveller and didn’t feel unsafe walking to and from the hotel after dinner, would definitely recommend!

We booked 2 family rooms and were assigned 2 Maisonette rooms. I did not complain to the staff at the time because we had a full schedule and no time to change hotels and I did not want to ruin my vacation with a verbal back and forth. Facts: 1. there were ants on the floor, bed and pillow- I have video. 2. black mold on the shower head and shower walls and glass - have photos. 3. One of my guests stayed in a top loft where the fabric back board was stained and there was garbage under the bed. She changed beds and her room because she was not comfortable. 4. The bidet drain was broken. 5. We sat on our first day on the cafe chairs which were inviting and had coffee and croissants from a local vegan bakery. We were quickly told that we couldn’t sit there by a male staff member. And that it was reserved for the restaurant. We were embarrassed because he was quite upset and we picked up our breakfast and went to our room. Unfortunately we did not have a terrace (like other rooms) to have our breakfast. Perhaps a classier way to handle the situation would have been to say “I am so sorry but the garden is reserved for the restaurant and we frown upon outside food, please finish your meal but I just wanted to let you know. Is there anything I can bring you? Again my apologies” BTW there were no signs, menus or any indication that the outdoor area was part of the restaurant and there were many people outside with no food smoking and reading books.

We stayed in room 121. Convenient location to tram stop we used several times. Lots of Asian cuisine options nearby. Room carpet had not been vacuumed. Safe was broken. Old urine on floor around toilet which stunk. This room was ground level so people walking on street and loitering were loud while sleeping. Also the shutters could be opened from outside by people on street to peer in your room. There was a lockable window and a sheer curtain, but didn’t like that at all.We could see out. I have a picture, but not sure I can upload.

I had to switch rooms three times throughout my stay. The rooms are overall very small and old with facilities often not working. The elevator wait was also very long. I also didn't like how the hotel leak information about me and allowing people to visit rooms when other people are still staying in. My friend easily found my room through the front desk and got a card without the hotel informing me. I think this is a very big liability issue.

The property had caracter. Unfortunately the gym was in disrepair, with brocken machines. If you need a gym in your stay that is not the place to stay. If you are looking for a clean place with some caracter and close to the center you can have a pleasant stay.

This hotel was alright. The air conditioner did not work very well and at some point during our stay our hotel had a blackout. The hotel was clean enough and while the pillows were not super comfortable they did the job compared to other places I stayed in. The staff was very nice and helpful so this is a positive. The area of the hotel was good in some ways. There were several restaurants, ethnic and local in the area, a lot of bars too. The hotel was close enough to Milano Centrale which is a positive if you are planning on doing day trips or if you are traveling Italy by train. I have to say that other comments mentioned this area was sketchy. While I might agree that the area was sketchy for Italy it was not all bad when compared to places back in the states or cities like Paris. Would I stay here again. Probably.

A lovely welcome on arrival, helpful lovely staff especially Roman in the bar who was such good fun and made our stay special. The hotel was exceptionally clean and lots of thoughtful extras like water and fresh apples in the lounge area. Breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice and the staff extremely helpful. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back again.Thank you to all the staff.

Convenient hotel near the Milan train station. Staff was very attentive, and the breakfast was plentiful and included in rate! We were here for a quick overnight in Milan, and managed to walk to the Duomo for dinner

Lovely Hotel

Had a lovely stay at Sanpi Hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable enough and cleaned daily. Breakfast was good. I found the hotel bar in the evening a lovely place to meet and chat to others staying at Sanpi. It was also very easy to get to central Milan (Duomo) from the Sanpi. Only downside is that it can be noisy at night, windows do not block out much outside noise if you are in a room facing the street.
