I was moved to a different room because there was no TV remote in my first room, the new rooms bed springs were broken, when you sat on the end of the bed it sank right in to the boxspring, the sheets smelt like curry or something like curry? the price of the hotel was very reasonable, i was told that was because the pool and hot tub was under maintenance, which was a bonus for me because I was just there for the weekend. the place needs new beds and better washing for the sheets, i had to take them off and put them back on before i left. I dont think i will return to this location! I was disappointed. a relaxing weekend away turned in to back pain and smelly clothing. my belonging all still smell like the room, I have to wash it all, even my unused clothing.

The staff were exceptional. The room was very clean, great daily cleaning services and the bed was so comfortable. We ended up having to stay longer due to weather travel issues and the hotel was accommodating. The only thing disappointing was that the hot tub was not operating as they turn it off for the winter.

This place used to be really nice and well kept but the rooms are getting run down and the cleaning was not fantastic this time,( hairs on the bathroom floor) the staff were lovely and the beds clean and comfortable I feel it was not worth the money spent. I don’t usually leave reviews unless it’s a good one but I really liked staying here before now I feel a bit over charged for what it was.

I feel very conflicted about our stay here. On the one hand the staff was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The building was well cleaned and the rooms were also very clean and tidy. All the staff is doing a great job. On the other hand, however, the building is very old and not in a great state. The carpets are old, the walls and paint are old, the washroom fixtures are old and the doors were old and should be replaced. The room was freezing, there was a major draft coming from the window. The heater had to be on at all times or it got really cold really fast. The heater itself is very loud and squeaky and not the best thing to have to have one at all hours. The walls were paper thin and it sounded like our neighbours were in our room. The doors were awful. I could hear people all the way down the hall coming in and out of their rooms and it actually sounded like they were at my door even though they were many rooms away. I felt that if someone wanted they could easily break down the door with little effort. You can tell the staff has put a lot of effort into making the hotel as clean and spotless as possible, but there’s only so much you can do when the building needs that much work. There are worse hotels out there, this definitely wasn’t awful BUT I’ve stayed in way nicer accommodations for the same price or cheaper. The saving grace of this hotel was the pool that’s open all year and the amazing staff.

The front staff was super friendly and amazing. Upon entering the room, it looked clean. But when you looked only a little closer, it was obviously filthy. The cleaners did not do a good job. Stains on all the linens and towels. Maybe dont choose white, if your not going to bleach it clean. The drapes had white crusty stuff on them of gawd only knows what. Nothing was wiped down properly in the bathroom. The counter still had evidence of the previous guest. The hot tub was not in commission. The pool looked like there was an unhealthy layer of dirt or mildew in it. No way i would swim in there. All and all disgusting and i will never book there again.
