This is my second time visiting this hotel. The first time, they were in the process of remodeling it. This time, it was finished, and I loved it! The rooms are spacious and bright. I love that they have full light fixtures in the ceiling! Most hotels only have lamps for lights. The only issue I had was the air conditioning. It was not cooling properly. We called and the front desk sent someone to check it out for us. He said he "reset" it and should be cooler soon. We were rushing to get to a concert. So, we didn't stick around much longer to see if it actually was cooler. But when we returned, we soon noticed that the a/c was still not cooling properly. We were late getting in, so we decided to tough it out thru the night. Next time, I will ask to move to another room if this issue arise. Other than the a/c problem, the room was nice and I will stay there again.

My daughter and I stayed here for Spring Break 2025. This was my daughter’s first time to New Orleans and she enjoyed her stay here. When we arrived we were placed on the 15th floor. Upon arrival the night agent was a little rude when I attempted to correct how he was pronouncing my name and once we made it to our room, we quickly learned he placed us in a room right next to a generator with auto-shut off. Because of this we did not get the best night sleep on our first night. However, I went to the front desk the next morning and the young lady placed us in a new room on the 10th floor without issue. The continental breakfast was really good and something I looked forward to every morning as well as the fitness area. We both enjoyed our stay and would recommend it as well.

Decent Stay Would Stay Again

The surrounding area wasn’t bad. A few blocks away from the start of Burbon St, so we walked everyday to it. It was strange the second day neither of our keys worked for our room so we had to go back to the front desk to get new keys, and they seemed like it was normal. The parking garage they use for parking is really for the hospital next door. So to get back to our parked car we had to walk up the ramp you drive on to get into the parking garage because all doors for stairs required a card key which our hotel key didn’t work. Other than those two things our stay was fine.

I liked the way they made us feel safe with the security guards. The only down fall I had was not knowing that I had to pay for parking. The parking lot across the hotel charged $36 for 4 hours. The hotel staff was amazing by letting me know where I can park that didn’t cost as much. I ended up relocating my vehicle to the parking garage behind the hotel that charged me $25 a day.

50th Birthday Celebration

Great stay for us! Essence at the front desk helped us and upgraded our room because my hubby turned 50 while on the trip! Room is comfortable. The restroom is very small but what can you do about that. My only complaint was the elevator and cleaning the room. They only clean the room every other day. We did have to ask for service . We're used to rooms being cleaned daily. Elevator was an issue for many because it kept getting stuck or took forever to come. We stayed on the 14th floor so taking the stairs was not an option! Lol We didn't eat breakfast because we slept in every day while we were there.

It is a comfortable and central spot. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The room did not have enough shampoo and the only wastebasket in the room was very small. The breakfast was very basic and I would not recommend the eggs.
