Beautiful properties but the upkeep was rather minimal. We upgraded to a king suite with balcony. There was a four poster rice bed of which one of the four posters were broken. The glass is left for us to use we're filthy. The entire room was slanted and there was no hot water in the shower. After having owned a Victorian that was 122 years old for 16 years. I understand what's required to upkeep one. The upkeep at this one was rather minimal. The location was wonderful and the staff was very accommodating. The bedding and bathroom were both clean. More attention needs to be paid to the rooms themselves, the furniture, decor and ensure that each unit has hot water.

The only issues i have is our room the water in shower never got hot it barely got luke warm. Also not know that where we stayed we had walk across the street to main location to go swim. On website it never mention that they have two housing locations. Finally house keeping never came by to empty the trash daily. However it was nice to have little kitchenette with microwave and little refrigerator to keep things cold such as left overs. Also you are very close in driving to french quarter and canal street and city park. Also having roku tv so you can log into your streaming services to watch what you want.

My family and I stayed 2 nights at Rathbone Mansions we really enjoyed our stay! The room was perfect my youngest son is 10 he loved the pool and getting to swim at night. The lady that checked us in was super sweet and even recommend some places to eat within walking distance. I highly recommend if I’m ever this way again I’ll definitely be back!

Enjoyable stay

We took this trip as a family. This motel was affordable for us. Its ran by American people. Its clean and for the most part pretty quiet. I felt safe here. The pool and hot tub were nice. If we needed anything the front desk was on it and got it to us in a timely manner. This is an old hoise built in the 1850's. Don't expect like a Holiday Inn. I really got the Lousiana feel staying here. Our room had a pull out couch, 2 beds, table, fridge, plates, bowls, silverware, microwave. Food gets pricey in New Orleans. So having that space came in handy.

We had a suite and there was plenty of room. We enjoyed the sitting area. The pool and hot tub area were very nice. The check in staff was so friendly. We loved it was historical. Be aware it is historical and although there have been upgrades, it is an older home. Overall it was great and we would return.
