The hotel was perfectly located in the heart of Bourbon Street area, easy walking distance to everything (we valeted our car upon arrival & never moved it until leaving). The rooms are modest, but nice for a renovated building of this era. The lobby, coffee shop and bar are fabulous. The staff were great. The Christmas decor was amazing. I'd happily recommend the Royal Sonesta!

This was a good place to stay. Even though Bourbon street was right outside it was quiet in our room. Very convenient to walk right outside of the door and shop, eat or party. Only thing we didn’t like was the promises of a free gift for our stay and a few other small promises that they did not actually give us.

Great view of Bourbon St. on our balcony. Excellent staff including Caleb the doorman who is a true professional of the likes of which few hotels still retain these days. I will be glad to come back and have the same room and balcony.
Main hallway during Christmas season. Very proper hotel and staff.

Great location. Good thing everything we wanted to see for the most part was near by, because the weekend we stayed there the police shut down all the roads in the french quarter area and we couldn't drive anywhere after lunch time (sort of trapped there after lunch). All the staff was helpful and nice. Clean room. Only thing I can say bad about it was the room we had was next to the public bathroom for the pool and we could hear the toilet flush from it into the late evening hours. We didn't eat there so can't comment on there food.

Awesome place for a couples getaway. But… know that if you get a balcony on Bourbon St. the sound coming from the bars across from you are so loud inside your room that it is like you are in a dance club from dark until at least 2:00am. Great views

Beware that there is a 100 per night hold incidentals and NO warning about that. for someone that does not have a credit card and uses a debit card, well lets just say that it froze 1/3 of the money I had planned to use on vacation. the lady that checked me in just kept saying it was the policy! Frustrating!

The location is amazing. Close to food, street cars, easy drop off by Ubers, close to rental cars The rooms were clean. So well decorated during the holidays. I will never stay anywhere else.
