My stay at the Royal Sonesta was truly memorable. The staff was excellent—especially the concierge & bell attendants—and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. My family had a unique request during my trip, and Joe from the grounds/facilities team was an absolute angel in helping us. I stayed on the executive level and loved starting each day with the delicious breakfast options at Desire and a wind-down nightcap at one of the three bar locations. The location couldn’t be better—everything in the French Quarter was within easy walking distance. And as a coffee lover, I thoroughly enjoyed grabbing my Cold Brew every morning from PJ’s Coffee right in the hotel. Thanks to the remarkable staff, the Royal Sonesta feels like home, and I will always return.

I enjoyed how close the hotel is to Bourbon street and with restaurants and night life. I wish there was a microwave in the room and a larger refrigerator to save food for later while vacationing. Overall, nice hotel and I will visit again!

The Royal Sonesta New Orleans is in a GREAT location- right on Bourbon and walking distance from most of the great food spots nearby, and close enough to walk to the French Market, Jackson Square, Aquarium, and some other touristy attractions. The hotel Lobby is gorgeous, and the staff (esp the doormen and bell hops) we super kind and helpful. The restaurants on the premisis (I only tried Desire) are really nice and have good food. The only thing I can complain about is the rooms, they can use a bit of a deeper clean- the bathroom towels/shower curtains were stained. The water in the shower only had good pressure when it was warm/hot, and on cool is was very low flowing, which is unfortunate considering you want to cool off after the extreme heat outside. Also, there are no in-room microwaves unless you request and PAY additional for it (on top of the additional $25 daily "resort fee." The hotel does give $15 dollar a day off any expense in the hotel which is nice to use at the restaurants, even if just for a drink. The pool did look nice, but was outdoors which I could not personally enjoy because of the August hot temperature. I would try another hotel next time, though I was lucky to be in a room that got no outside noise because it was towards the back and not rowdy Bourbon street.

Great place for Jazz Fest and Nola Vibe

Great rooms and clean especially after a long day at jazz fest!! Easy to walk around and could not hear bourbon street from Room! We had a pick up for airport at 3:00 am and the security was helpful and making sure we were safe and taken care off. The pool was an extra bonus.

The hotel was nice with a very beautiful lobby. Some amenities could be improved. The vent in our bathroom room and coffee machine were broken. They did not let me use my $15 credit on the last day even though I wanted to use it before check out time. Pf a bottle of water in our room was $8 which I think is absurd. Location was great, right in the middle of downtown, although it can very loud at night.
