Pros: I liked how it was minutes away from a subway station & from the financial district. The front desk worker was super kind and helpful! I think Destiny was her name. She was really sweet. The breakfast was great. Lots of tasty options. Cons: the room was small, it was super noisy at night (I recommend getting a room at a higher floor if possible) The elevators were small and dimly lit, at first I thought the lights were off! The cleanliness was average: I found a hair in the hair dryer, but they took care of my stuff while we were away. My toiletries were neatly aligned in the bathroom. I thoroughly enjoyed that. The carpet was old…and gross. I suggest replacing it. There was a woman at the breakfast station that I overheard was a little rude to one of the other guests. When he asked where the milk was, she was clearly annoyed. It was an honest question. Maybe get 2 milk cartons in stock next time.

Nice stay in New York

This was a great find. Especially for the price, I'm surprised it doesn't have stronger reviews. My room was small (by US standards!), but it was clean and comfortable. It was in easy walking distance of the major Fulton Street subway stop as well as most of FiDi. The breakfast was often picked over by the time I stopped by (after 8:30 a.m.), but I was more interested in outside bagel shops anyway when in New York. Would definitely recommend for those seeking a competitively priced spot in this neighborhood.

We had a great stay here! The highlight of the trip was definitely Destiny, the sweet woman working the front desk. She made us feel so welcome and we enjoyed lovely conversation with her nightly on our way back to our room. Can’t recommend this place enough!

My stay was wonderful the check-in was nice the clerk at the front desk was very nice and polite. The room was very clean only issue was the bathroom sink stopper was broken and the water kept coming up to the top. Other than that everything was great i will stay there again.

We had the best experience with Destiny. Every time we came in and out she made sure we had what we needed and went above and beyond. The room itself was okay. The room was small and was difficult to navigate 3 people staying in it. I can’t imagine adding a fourth. The beds and pillows were comfortable but the bathroom was not clean. The shower curtain smelled like mildew, wouldn’t stay closed, and the tub didn’t look clean. Overall the stay was fine, but the bathroom could use some attention.

Okay hotel in good location

The HIE was in a great location near Wall Street. The front desk staff were incredibly nice and efficient. However, when I got to my room it was VERY small and dated.
