Really friendly staff, each member of staff always greeted me kindly and with a smile. The hotel felt safe and almost like we were a big family. Only downside was the lighting in the room wasn’t great and there was no bell man.

This was my second stay here. The staff is wonderful, and while small, the rooms are excellent and clean. I love the 24-hour access to filtered water and coffee/espresso as well. This is my go-to for business stays in Murray Hill.

Our stay at the Pestana Park Avenue hotel was wonderful! We stayed for 5 nights and found the hotel a fantastic base to explore New York. The room was spotless and the staff were very helpful.

Amanda at the concierge desk is a wonderful person. She along with the rest of the staff are accommodating, welcoming, and kind people. The hotel is clean, parking is convenient across the street, located just a short walk to Times Square, lots of eateries and Bryant Park is just around the corner for a good cup of Joe in the park.

We chose Pestana Park Avenue based on the great reviews and it absolutely did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming and friendly and the hotel lobby was stylish and inviting, creating a great fist impression. We had travelled all the way from Scotland to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were greeted with a lovely surprise in our room — such a thoughtful touch that we truly appreciated, thank you! Our room was spotless and although compact, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is fantastic — just a 5-minute walk to Grand Central Station, with plenty of great dining options nearby. The Midtown East/Murray Hill area felt very safe, even when walking around at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose Pestana Park Avenue again when we return to New York. Thank you for an amazing experience

Very small rooms compounded by bulky bed and inefficient room layout. Really was not great value vs. other hotels nearby. On the positive side, rooms were very clean, water pressure was very strong, nice little cafeteria area with 24/7 coffee, tea and hot water on the ground floor. Close to Grand Central.

The Pestana at Park Avenue was fantastic. It is in a great location with Grand Central Station only 3 blocks away. The property was clean and in good shape. My wife and I would recommend this hotel for many reasons, but most of all for how quiet it was.

Pretty darn good

The staff was amazing, the croissants were delicious, the shower was the perfect temperature and the bed was comfortable! I only have 2 complaints, which is why this is 4 star instead of 5. 1) The conditioner in the shower is awful. Cheap Pantene is 10x better than the stuff they’re using. 2) It’s noisy. This can be solved by the guest bringing inexpensive silicone ear plugs from Walmart. But when I tell you it’s noisy, it isn’t just the lack of insulation to dampen NYC noise, but they also have no stripping around the room doors, so you end up hearing everything from the room next door. When I can hear them (clearly) scan their key card, you know it could be approved. But on Fridays, the have fresh-squeezed OJ, chocolates and some sort of event in the afternoon. (I couldn’t attend). They also gave a huge complimentary bottle of water and credits to use toward the mini-bar, so I never had to wander around NYC thirsty. It was a wonderful perk. It is also so close to Grand Central and Time Square. If you can cancel out the noise, it’s definitely worth a stay!
