This is in a nice locations, just a couple blocks from NY Public Library, Grand Central Station, Times Square. Rooms are small with basic necessities but we didn't plan to spend much time in the room so was just fine with us. The rooftop bar has nice views, but unfortunately was never open when we were at the hotel.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Although small, the room was clean and had all the necessary items one would expect of a hotel. If you’re looking for a safe, clean place to stay, this is it. The location was very convenient to Times Square, Rockefeller Ctr and other sights. I will definitely stay at a Pod on a future trip. Greta value!

Our stay at Pod 39 was very enjoyable. The hotel location is perfect. Quiet yet close to Grand Central, Chrysrel Building, Empire State and Times Square, lots of shop and eating out options nearby. The hotel itself is in good condition. Its highlight is the rooftop. In the morning the bar is closed but you can still go there and eat breakfast & enjoy the views. Downstairs they have another bar. In the morning there is a free coffee and tea and some breakfast options are available to buy like pastries, sandwiches or fresh fruit. There is also a drinkable water station available all day. Staff were amazing and very helpful. They offered quick check-in, check-out and free luggage storage. We had a small issue with our room but they were very prompt to help us out. Since they couldn't resolve the problem, they changed our room and offered us breakfast vouchers. The room was exactly what we expected from the photos. It was small, the bathroom doors were glass sliding, not offering too much privacy. But for us it was perfect, it was comfortable, offered everything we needed. The first room we had, on the 5th floor was quite dark as the window was looking at the small back courtyard, completely surrounded by other buildings. The other room, located at the 11th floor, located on the same side, was much better. My only pointer would be to bring a charging block with you, not just a cable, as our room had only 1 USB socket.

Although the price is high from an AUD perspective, for NY it is reasonable. The hotel is perfectly located. The rooms are small - but it is a Pod hotel after, but the Ned is comfortable, the bathroom great with fluffy white towels every day, and well designed to be able to hide your luggage away. Free tea and coffee in the morning with inexpensive breakfast, and a sensational rooftop area that is full of sun and great views, perfect for morning yoga or an evening drink.

From the time I booked my stay through the day I checked out, the team at POD39 made me feel welcome with their friendliness, helpfulness, and excellent service. This was the perfect hotel for my stay on a budget in NYC. Clean, plenty of space, and things to do. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Manhattan. Thank you to the entire team!
