Expected Better Experience

My 2nd stay here and 2nd time issue with water temperature in shower and sink. Water never got warm in either, cold everyday. They had someone come up to fix it but it wasn't fixed. Jo at the front desk was very kind and felt bad I could see. My bill was reduced by $200 but I won't be coming back in future. It's not acceptable to deal with this issue at this level of a hotel.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my stay at this hotel. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism. Every staff member I encountered — from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant team — went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and cared for. The attention to detail was outstanding. The front desk staff were not only efficient and knowledgeable, but also kind and eager to ensure my stay was seamless. Housekeeping maintained the room impeccably, and small touches throughout my stay made it clear that guest comfort is their top priority. This hotel is beautiful, yes, but it’s the staff who make it truly exceptional. I left feeling not just well taken care of, but valued. I will absolutely be returning, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for not just a stay, but an experience defined by excellent service and remarkable people.

Holiday weekend, so my experience might be tainted by the “B” team, and my city view was of scaffolding and a roof top. Water was cut off, a pushy maid, and lack luster staffing.

We came for our 30th wedding anniversary to celebrate and have fun in Manhattan. The hotel was beautiful, Alphonso took great care of us at the bar with delicious cocktails and the room and location were lovely. We overlooked the park and enjoyed the spacious and elegant room. I am a clean freak and it was very clean.
