The hotel is recently purchased by Lotte, but already has a long history. Unfortunately with that history comes old drafty windows and few electrical outlets The building is beautiful; our room, while a bit small for two double beds, would have been comfortably sized for a single queen.
We visited during a deep freeze, temperatures were in the single digits to teens. Our room thermostat was set to 74, but the heating was not keeping up with the cold permeating from our windows. Thankfully the hotel staff (thank you, José!) were incredibly responsive. We requested and received extra down blankets within 10 minutes of notifying the hotel of our cold situation, and they sent up the hotel engineer within the hour to work on the thermostat; our room was nice and cozy after that, easily keeping up with the draft.
The only thing that peeved me was the $5 charge per bag if you wanted the hotel to store luggage before check-in or after check-out. I would think that, as a guest, luggage storage would be free; we're already paying for the room! If you wanted to check in early, they charge another $75, which I also found silly. If the room is ready, then let the guest in!
So, overall:
Old building does not do well with extreme cold, the hotel charges for silly things, but hotel staff were great.
