Grand lobby and entrance, nice view from our room, room size was a little small but that is standard in New York, i did not like the bathroom at all. Bathtub had a clog and faucet keeps dripping. Bathroom very outdated and small. It did not look like a 4 star hotel bathroom, more like a 2 star bathroom. I called the front desk about clog several times and no one from their engineering team ever got back to us. I end up fixing it myself.

Cleaning lady waking you up at 9 am 😔

Be prepared of the cleaning lady banging on your door to wake you up at 9 am and opening your door to see if you checked out. I was peacefully sleeping on my relaxing vacation and get woken up at 9 am to check out. They just want to rush you to leave in the morning and its very rude. Place also has cockroaches

It's the New Yorker Hotel. Enough Said. It is an iconic staple of NYC with its roaring 20s interior that keeps it looking pristine. The bedroom was small, but then again it is a historic place. The window in the room that I was in did not close properly so throughout the night we could hear the trucks beeping in reverse and the cold winds getting into the room despite my multiple attempts to close the window without damaging the window. I should have called someone in the hotel to fix it, but I did not so I can't complain too much.

The hotel and amenities are dated. I was underwhelmed and unimpressed with everything. Our room's air-conditioning leaked into the carpet and the room smelt of mold. The management did change our room when this was brought to their attention. I was still not impressed with the upgrade. I think they've relied on their name too long without investing in the property. The location is convenient if you're taking the train. They charge for late checkout (I believe $50/hour?) and $5/bag if you want to leave your bag there while you explore the city. I think I'd choose other options in the city if I were to stay again.

The bed was comfortable. Room was small. Bathroom was in bad condition. The shower was leaking and dripping non stop. Other parts of the bathroom were broken like tiles. The positive is the room was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Got a room on higher floor so had a view of the Hudson. The location is also amazing as it is close to Penn station/Madison square garden and is a short walk to time square and Hudson yards and high line. If you just need a clean room with a comfortable bed in a convenient location. This hotel is for you.
