Quick Stay

The pool was not clean. The bathroom wasn't very clean either but the bed was clean and comfortable. It worked for what we needed so we did not have high expectations.

When I asked for new towels, I got questioned. They said they only clean the rooms and do housekeeping or replace towels every three days…. And they did not come until my sixth day there I had to keep going to the front and asking for towels and toilet tissue. And they had an attitude about it.

Biggest issue was no airport transportation Taxi service very expensive for a short ride. No one wanted to help you with Uber transportation it was less than half the cost of a taxi. The pool did not look as good as the photo. It was close to the airport

Upgrade

The property needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. It needs to make a major upgrade pieces of walls falling and ceiling not patched right now. We just needed to stay there for the next day to leave at the airport. So for that, one night wasn't so bad, but I would not stay there longer. The only good thing about the breakfast was the waffles. Everything else was right. Not so good, especially the boiled eggs.

The photos were deceiving, I knew I was not going to be getting a 4-5 star hotel, just needed it for a night to stay before I left for my cruise the following day. The pros: -The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful and helped put our two family rooms next to each other. -Free breakfast. -Has a yummy restaurant in the parking lot (not owned by the hotel) The Cons: -Lots of late night partying, at all hours of the night I heard music and people standing out on the walkways. -The people standing out on the walk ways would be talking on their phones about drug deals. -Drug paraphernalia lying outside a room on the walkway. (Piece of tinfoil with burn marks and residue in it) I disposed of it when I saw it. -Elevator broken down and seemed like it had been for a while. -The rooms just seemed to have a basic clean, our bedding was made, but had quite a bit of strands of other people's hair, I felt gross laying in the bed after that. -I was happy they served free breakfast, but the female employee that seemed to be taking care of that area was in a back room visibly on her phone the whole time. All in all I would never return to this hotel. Just because you are a cheaper hotel does not mean you have to have a run down place, I have stayed at many hotels where the staff took pride in their facility.

My wife and I have always been very happy with La Quinta hotels and have never had any problems until now. This time we did not enjoy our stay. The door to our room was not properly aligned with the frame leaving a space of about a half inch and during the night the cold air from outside kept the room very cold to the point that the heating was not enough to combat the cold. This caused my wife and I, both elderly, to have a miserable night.
