We loved our stay here! We came to Paris for our 20th wedding anniversary. From start to finish our stay was top level! The young lady who manned the front desk the weekend we arrived was excellent! She was warm and welcoming and even offered places for us to go eat which was excellent suggestion. It was clean and just what we needed for a home base to see all the sites of Paris! Centrally located and close to a lot of attractions and sites. We would stay here again if we ever came back to Paris in the future!

Well-run and friendly hotel. My room had a powerful and hot shower; unfortunately the drain was partially blocked so that you were standing in 3 inches of water by the end. Also the mini-fridge did not work even though I confirmed that there was power in the socket. I reported this but nothing was done.

A charming, old, smallish hotel that has an elevator!. Has great staff and located in a central location just a short walk from the Seine and Notre Dame. Rooms are small but many in Paris are, property is kept spotless. Our shower would run over onto the floor if we weren’t careful, but I was told a renovation is to be done soon and they thanked me for letting them know. Our room had a lovely balcony where we enjoyed a Few breakfasts and evening drinks. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

We certainly made a mistake, the pictures of the building and location caught us.In reality, the entrance and foyer is dismal and shabby, like the entire hotel, the rooms(Superior) also shabby and extra small with dated, old furniture…overpriced and one to avoid.

Love the location of this properties. It has all restaurants and shoppings around it. Also very close to metro and buses. Property is old but well maintained and clean. However if you come back to hotel late the hot water may be out for the entire building and you may need to take a room temperature shower.

Great location, helpful staff, tiny yet good rooms. The trash gets taken out around the hotel super early in the morning which is not the hotels fault, but does make for obnoxiously early awakenings.

Charming hotel in center of Paris' Latin Quarter. There must be close to one hundred restaurants within a 5-minute walk, including a good Italian restaurant attached to the hotel. Having no air conditioning for the entire 4 days in Paris at Hotel Saint Severin was painful and the severity was perhaps exacerbated by the fact that we had frosty cold air conditioning previously in both Bordeaux and Nice. The thermostat usually read 23°C (73.4°F) and the HVAC people, called technicals, were baffled. The warning message to change the filter was a continuous reminder that we had no air. Lack of safety in the area was hearlded by the persistent presence of a half dozen African men in their 20's and 30's sitting on and hovering around rental bike racks at the hotel Saint Severin entrance. Homeless people slept during the daytime, every day 15m away toward St. Michel Blvd. In summary, not having access to air conditioning even on days in the 80's, nor at night made this hotel a "not recommended" place. Better to stay at a chain hotel for creature comforts, like AC. Room 117 was a Superior Double room accessed from a staircase just behind the front desk. It included a huge bathroom that might be >50% of the room size. Sweet!
