Parking and getting there with traffic is terrible, but since Socialists run the place this makes sense, breakfast is good, staff is eager and you are close to the Louvre. I am mostly a find the flaw kind of guy and the AC worked in peak Summer. So maybe increase your rating by +1 from mine especially if you do not go there in peak seasons. I’d go again.

L'Empire

We were put in a room on tge lower level near laundry. The hallway was dark until you stepped out into it. We were two ladies and felt unsafe. Also had two order a cab 2 days ahead. Luckily we had a uber app.room was clean and had a great breakfast buffet.

Excellent location! We are a family of 3 and the hotel provided a pull out that was very comfortable - our room was quite spacious, especially for Paris! Very clean and the hotel staff were extremely accommodating - provided recommendations and also offered to pack a breakfast for us to take with us to the airport! Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

The location is absolutely perfect especially for all key museums and historic sites. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Even mailed our postcards. Breakfast was convenient and nice. I think it entirely depends on the room you are assigned. Be aware that room 613 (pretty sure I got that right) is in the basement or "courtyard". Not too terrible but it is the only room on floor -1 and the lighting is not great and felt damp and clammy. The room was fine...very clean...just not ideal. The other room we had on the 4th floor was good. The key about this hotel is its location. So whatever so-so comments I make about this hotel, it is in a perfect location to see Paris. The breakfast was a tad pricy but it had about anything you'd want to start the day. And I would recommend taking advantage of it if you are an early riser as other places don't open until later in the morning. Staff members were exceedingly helpful and nice. They held our luggage when we arrived before check-in...mailed post cards for us....provided recommendations and directions. So yes I would recommend this hotel and I would book a room there on my next trip to Paris.

When I realized the shower was in a deep tub, which would not be safe for me, the manager found me a room with a walk-in shower. Even though the family had been resting in that room while we waited for our other rooms. Management was very understanding and nice about this.
