Expedia posted a picture of the room overlooking the golf course so I was initially upset that I was looking at an empty concrete pool. Expedia also put on the listing that there was limited room service. Well, there was zero room service. I’m 8 months pregnant and I came to relax and not have to worry about meals so this was frustrating. When I tried to go to sleep I noticed a very loud hum/vibrating noise coming from the bathroom. It was so loud I had to move rooms at 1130 at night. I asked for a discount and they said because I booked through Expedia it was too difficult.

Room decor was dated but tastefully decorated. The VIP bottle of wine a very nice touch. I had a couple things i didnt like, one the room as windows out to walkways in the front and back which while there are shutters, it does feel a little less private. The other issue is that when i went to close the shutter, the valance fell off and hit me in the face.

The garden suite was great. Perfect for the two of us with our dog. Very clean and bed was so comfortable. Staff very helpful. Would definitely stay at the Balcomo again!

The bed had long black hairs in it in multiple places so I do not think these sheets had been cleaned. The other bed had a smell on the pillows as if those were not fresh either.

Excellent Stay

Great 1 night stay. We have stayed here many times in the past and have always enjoyed it. The hotel has been beautifully updated and is very lovely. Staff at the restaurant were fantastic and food & drinks were great! Hoping it doesn’t get out of reach price wise in the future because we would definitely come back.

The renovations are taking far too long. New furniture was dirty. Beds were just okay. Everything was just slightly more used than last year. Need to change gate so I don’t need to use card to leave.

Secured parking.

Always welcomed at the balcomo by the regular staff, secured parking in the back, decent wifi it could use better range but it will suffice, Keurig coffee machine in room is a bonus, tv’s in suite rooms could use an upgrade as some make a buzzing noise. Vending machines could use some product.
