Affordable and clean

Riverside Motel is a decent place to stay for an affordable price. I had a king room with a kitchenette; the bed was comfortable, the room was clean. The motel and room is dated, which seems to be common for Penticton but I was pleased with the price and accommodation. My two issues I had while staying there, the walls are thin and you can hear everyone else - Inside or outside, you can hear everything. So bring earplugs. Second, my room had nothing to use to cook in the oven. I wanted to heat some food and couldn’t because there were no pans for the oven. Each kitchenette unit should have the proper pots and pans for the stove and oven. That’s the point of getting a kitchenette.

This property is right downtown by the water. Great location. The room we had was right beside the pool on the ground floor. Because it is March and cold, the pool was not filled and there were no poolside parties. We had a small fridge, stove and sink, so it would be great to spend a week or more in this location and cut the "eating out costs." We were just there for two nights but it was still nice to be able to make coffee in the morning! All in all, for its age, well kept, priced right and in a nice location.

Thie Riverside listed their property as recently renovated only 2 years ago. Upon arrival and inspection of our room we found our tub dirty with soap scum buildup around where the water line would be. The toilet had not been cleaned on the floor behind and there was hair and dirt and potentially pee. The tub was also covered in pink soap scum and water build up around the silicone seal and tile grout lines and had clearly not been wiped down in a long time. The "Renovation" they boasted about in the listing consisted of tiling the bathroom, replacing the flooring, and painting the old surfaces. The flooring was horrendous and hazardous and click vinyl planks had been installed over an uneven and dipping base floor and in places you could step on a plank and it was cracked and in a hole like a pot hole a good 1.5 inches deep. Overall not the experience we were expecting and defintely not a place we will be back to.

The floors were filthy. Found a clump of hair in the corner of the bathroom floor. Other than that it was decent. This place isn’t anything worth writing home about but you get what you pay for. The walls are super thin too

Good for the price.

The room was a great value. The room was clean and staff were very friendly. I was surprised by the size of our suite. It was nice to have a kitchenette . My only issue i had was stepping into the room. There was a sign saying to watch your step to the side of the door, but when opening the door you dont realy notice it. It would be better if they placed it onto the door.

Unkind and unwelcoming, wouldn’t speak a language I don’t know while invading my room after I booked another night completely ridiculous serves and room and bed bugs found in the room then only refunded half my deposit while i still made all the beds and had the room completely clean
