Tiki Shores is the perfect location with a beautiful view at a great price. The suites are spacious, clean and with an 'oh so comfortable' bed and jacuzzi to relax!! As well, a restaurant right next door to Tiki Shore Registration desk. What more can a person ask for?

Booked room through Expedia for March 7-9 and confirmed booking. A minute after confirming the booking received a notification, that the booking was for March 9-March 11 (Sunday- Tuesday). Called the hotel, but hotel doesn’t respond after 5pm. Called Expedia and Expedia tried to work with hotel manager to cancel booking without any penalties. Hotel manager would not cancel the booking, even though clearly their hotel is fully booked and utilized. Expedia blamed the manager and the manager blamed Expedia. Poor business ethics, poor customer service from the hotel staff when we called to talk to someone, and poor response from hotel manager. Will advise family and friends of the experience, as well, will never book another trip through Expedia. Lesson in this, is purchase the extended coverage in every booking, as there are glitches in the Expedia system, and poor customer service from hotel management 👎 we were looking forward to rebooking for the correct dates but hotel staff don’t answer the phones past 5pm. An offer was made one time by the manager to rebook with them on another date, but after having a conversation in person with the manager and realizing how ignorant he is, we presumed that the offer would not be made again, and will take a $400 hit to not deal with rude business owners.

Loved location. Really liked suite layout. Area was quiet and loved being by the lake. Problems with water taps, I really liked the potential of the suites. Need a good cleanup, maintenance and upgrade. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Family had rented a 2 bedroom and a single suite. Thank you

Terrible stay

We got there at 9pm after sister in law had checked us in - inspected our room and got our code. We go to our room and someone was in it. Office closes at 6 and we have our 78yo mom and no room. We called the number on the door of office over and over until someone finally answered. We had to wait outside for a long time until someone called us back and told us to go the the motel next door. They had double booked and the hotel next door The Shores put us in a very dirty room there. Terrible experience!

Be aware this property has no front office. If you arrive after 6pm you cannot check-in. There is a phone number written on a paper sign on the unlit office door, but it connects to an answering machine. This is what happened to me. I could not check-in and went to another motel. There was no refund. Tiki said it was Expedia and Expedia said it was Tiki. But I as the customer was stuck with no refund. Note that Tiki, Spanish Villa, Shoreline and Bowmont are all the same owner, so the same applies to all 3. Do not book at these places as they are happy to collect $ from you regardless of whether you are actually able to check-in or not.

Great value and awesome location

Tiki Shores is your basic traveller motel, which is fine with me. The location is perfect for enjoying the beach, local restaurants, etc. We chose the second floor room with the lake view (across the street) and it was great. Our room was basic but had everything we needed. the kitchenette (fridge, sink, microwave, coffee maker) was a nice feature. The water was hot, and the room was made up nicely. Half of the room had a tile floor that seemed to trap the sand from our shoes...so the floor was always a little sandy.
