Everything was 10 out of 10 except for the pool for kids with slides and splash pad. The lifeguards are extremely rude. I’m not one to sit and talk to people either, but I did encounter not one, not two, but three lifeguards that were rude and just seemed miserable with their job. There was a situation that I had encountered, which I was extremely shocked and surprised about, found out certain things that I did not know that the website did not provide. If you choose to go to this place with kids.. If you have kids who are under than 48 inches, they can’t do the slides. You also can’t ride with them if requested. If you have kids who wear life jacket floaties or as a parent, you would want them to wear one, and are 48 inches or taller, you cant use them down the slide. None of this I found on the website. Safety concerns for your own children can be at risk with the rules and policies here. There needs to be more leniency for kids to have fun as it is a kid place. As far as the Casita Villa and the front desk, everyone was extremely nice. The rooms were super comfortable, super clean. The layout was great. I loved how they texted every day to check on us. I felt like that was so great communication. The location was nice 10 out of 10 for that but for the pool if I could give a negative star out of 10, I would.

Great for families. Don’t like they try to get you in to a time share. Not the time and place in my opinion when you have kids and are trying to just have family time. Very limited staff for the restaurant and bar but they were really trying to be patient and friendly. Room was great

Great stay

This was a great resort. Especially for the price. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The front desk people were very kind and helpful. The pools were clean, but could use some updating on the grounds, especially the kiddie pool area. But overall, we would definitely stay again.

Stay somewhere else. It’s a good location but wasn’t worth any of the hassle. -WiFi wasn’t working properly -Pools are overcrowded with teenagers using foul language and acting very inappropriately, so small children can't be in the area -Balconies reek of marijuana -Height restriction on slide wasn't listed online, making it useless (the reason we booked this hotel in the first place) -splash pad was not functioning at full capacity -children in the splash pad were not being monitored, resulting in children being injured by larger children -walls are paper thin so you’ll be woken up every twenty seconds by parking lot noise and slamming doors

I think the word resort is a stretch. The rooms were nice and mostly clean. Dual ac systems kept it nice and cool! The pools were small but adequate for morning swims. There were a lot of super rowdy kids and teens who were cussing and playing very rough in the pool with no parents in sight. Lifeguards and resort staff didn’t seem to do much about this. Ultimately I don’t know if I would do a holiday inn again, but if you are on a budget and it isn’t a busy weekend it may be a good fit.

The rooms were really spacious and I love the kitchenette with table. There are 5 in our family and we never felt cramped. The deeper pools and kid pool were clean. The only thing that was negative was the 90 minute talk they tried to push on me when I checked in, likely some kind of timeshare.
