Although we couldn’t swim in the ocean, the beach time was fantastic and the pools, plentiful. The setting was so gorgeous.

They didn’t give us the room we got. Said no more left. Other customers checking in same time same thing. Wanted us to sign something saying we wouldn’t ask for compensation or credit back. They offered us a room in the family area which we didn’t want along after they tried to give us spa credit for $100 when the lowest package was $230 out to make money off us and other people at resort most had booked through expidea. Ran out of food at buffet at 830pm in family zone after we got there after arguing at front desk for hour. Overall the resort was beautiful just shady at check in. Our screen door in the room we got was not working, phone line cord would pop out if using phone and our safe didn’t work, which eventually they came and fixed it.

Amazing property, great value with the more inclusive excursiona. The only annoying thing for me was the guests that would get up early morning to go around and put towels and belongings on pool/beach chairs and cabanas and then leave them there the whole day.

The grounds were gorgeous and there are many good food options. Very. Delicious. Food. Staff is very attentive face to face. Make sure your shower has hot water; the tub did, the shower did not.

We had a great vacation at El Dorado Royale. All of the restaurants served excellent food, and had wonderful staff. I would recommend the Rincon for breakfast!! Our room was clean and fully functional, with the exception of hot water....always had cold showers. The beach is pretty rocky, and not easily swimmable. The shuttle service around the resort is not always reliable (Mexican time!) so plan your time if you need to maintain a schedule, otherwise be patient or walk. The app reserved all of our restaurants, however room service reservations never showed up once out of four days requested. The Maroma beach excursion was worth a whole day off the proprty...it was absolutely beautiful. We would definitely go back, just may upgrade to casitas or swim up rooms!

I give 3 stars on my most things. Make sure you get travel insurance. I was hospitalized and sedated 3 days before my trip and was unable to go. I believe Expedia strongly advocated for some sort of reimbursement, I was still planning on going at a later date if possible but the resort cited their policy and is unwilling to issue any sort of credit. My friend was able to go. She said some things were dated and there was some construction going on but overall she said it was a fine resort.

Beautiful resort. Room was a tad dated but not horrible. Always very clean. All Inclusive is the way to go! Always stocked mini bar. So many dining options. Staff was excellent. Don’t get sucked into membership talk if you don’t want it.

Property is secluded and a bit far from Cancun city itself. Free cenote and catamaran is offered free but you have to reserve early. We got there thursday and both catamaran and cenote were not available per agent until Monday…however if you become a member, they will become available…to me this is a scam.
