Frustrated

On our way to the hotel we got a message saying the owner had canceled our reservation for the 17th. We were not informed before then by hotels.com or anyone. We had no other place to go as it was booked every where close to oue destination. The owner put us up in a room that was not a rental unit. We Left some of our belongings and other items in the car and had to get ice for his insulin as there was no fridge in the room. We got charged full price. Next day we had a room rented at the same hotel and everything was good. Nice people but it was not a good experience for either my husband or myself. Next time I will book directly with the hotel.

This is a renovated school and they have done a great job! Just a thought, but if you are staying here, would be nice to offer guests a little discount if they eat here too.

It is a converted schoolhouse so it has a cool layout and character. The rooms were nice and the location was a convenient spot for those catching an early ferry the next morning. The staff was great and gave us an information sheet of attractions in the area which was very helpful.

Used to be a school! Renovated with this in mind Kept the school theme Gym and stage still there lol Rooms are the old classrooms I was assigned to special needs area lol. I had supper in the restaurant and it was delicious

Wonderful surprise

Motel is a beautifully renovated school. Lovely attention to detail. The owner & her daughter were very nice, good breakfast and a wonderful fish & chip meal.
