Airport shuttle was staff was overwhelmed, because they were down to one vehicle. The property was somewhat worn and maybe in the middle of some renovations. The staff was kind and the room was comfortable

We arrived at 4:45 and was told that our room is not ready to check in. We asked about how long And ran in the attendant told us he didn’t know. He told us that housekeeping worked until 7 PM so I then asked does that mean we may not get a room till 7 PM And then he said if you don’t stop asking me questions I’m just going to cancel your reservations so we walked out

I stayed at the Hyatt Place in Portland, Maine, and while the hotel is clean and in a great location, the check-in process was a major issue. Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM, but my room wasn’t ready until 6:30 PM. That’s a significant delay, especially after traveling with expectations of being able to settle in. Staff members were friendly, but communication and preparedness were lacking. I hope management addresses this so future guests have a smoother experience.

We came to shop. Hotel was as nice as always. The renovation concerning the elevators was inconvenient but NOT very bad. Alice was the queen of the breakfast nook, loved her banter. Brandon ,(mgr?), was very pleasant and accommodating. Love Hyatt Place
