Nice hotel, just annoying that uou don't get any hilton honors points when you book through expedia. Nice restaurants near by. Breakfast could be better, but its ok.

Lovely warm rooms, on a particularly cold weekend, spotlessly clean and including very useful kitchen, sofa, table and chairs. My only area for improvement would be better communicating that these rooms are essentially self-catering. A small amount of tea, coffee and milk is provided as a welcome when you arrive, but you really need to bring your own if you are staying for more than one night. We came in unequipped for self-catering, but there was a small shop for essentials and a bar/restaurant for lunch and dinner on-site. Staff were also extremely helpful in directing us to a nearby truckers’ café that did really good breakfasts. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time in Southport and the Hotel was brilliant the room were very nice and the breakfast was very good.

Staff at the Doric are very friendly and efficient. The full breakfast was great with some other choices. single room was good with a 3/4 bed, bathroom was a full bath with shower, over, so could have been a problem for some older folks. Bar and breakfast area nice with view of prom. Hallways to rooms a bit dated and could use a paint update.. I did not attend any entertainment, however there was something on each night. All staff I encountered were very helpful.
