Have stayed at the Regency many times, at different times of year. It never fails to enchant.. especially on cold winter weekends when its bar/lounge is cozy and warming with great drinks, wonderful servers, and lovely food. The valet parking is a relief.. and its location in the midst of a timeless harbor, and surrounded by exceptional shops, restaurants, bakeries… is unique.

I booked 3 rooms and spent 2 nights there with 2 friends. My room was spacious with a comfortable king bed and big flat screen tv. There were umbrellas, terry robes, hair dryer and ironing board and iron in the closet. A very good experience for me. My friends both complained that the toilet seat in their respective rooms was too low, but otherwise no complaints. The breakfast was very good, but not included in the price of the room. The food in the downstairs restaurant was excellent. We ate there both nights. (very rainy weather kept us inside)

Older but generally well kept hotel. Excellent location. The majority of staff were helpful and friendly. One major glitch occurred with our payment as all four of the rooms we booked were to go on our card but that didn’t happen and our family members were each charged, much to our embarrassment. The employee who corrected this was a bit short with us. For this reason I don’t know if we’d stay here again.

The entire staff was exceptional, everyone was welcoming and made my stay extremely comfortable. There are areas where you can relax when you're not in your room. And also it's an amazing location as you're just steps away from all the restaurants, coffee houses, and shopping in Portland, Maine.
