Pros were a great view, very nice staff, and a good price. Cons were a noisy plastic cover on mattress, the room and especially the bathroom smelled like smoke, and the plumbing made a lot of noise, clanking and gurgling etc., enough to wake us up.

Old furniture, not eco friendly, too far from city

The room was small and furnished with very old furniture. The carpet was dusty and worn. When we checked in, the in-room coffee station still had used filters left by previous guests, which was quite off-putting. The hotel seems to be built out of wood and styrofoam – we could clearly hear every step from the guests above us, with the floorboards creaking loudly all night. There was hair in the shower drain upon arrival, and no warm blanket was provided – only a throw that clearly doesn't get washed between guests. When we asked the front desk for a proper blanket, they brought us another identical throw. There’s no 24/7 access to water, tea, or coffee. In the evening, we had to go to the restaurant and pay $2.50 per cup of tea. Public transportation to Boston is not convenient. You have to walk 25 minutes to the train station, and the train runs only a few times a day. The trip to Boston can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Breakfast was mediocre with very limited options, though some hot items were available. Unfortunately, all dishes and utensils were plastic, which is not environmentally friendly. The only positives were the air conditioning in the room and the lake view – but only if you book a lake-facing room.

The staff is very helpful and accommodating, but the Inn itself is in bad condition, smells bad, the toilet was wobbly. Would not recommend. I’m a little upset that Expedia supports this property.

Bathroom was dirty. Floor of the sleeping area was also dirty. Windows were damaged and could barely open, along with no screens. Paid for lake view and the view was blocked by large equipment attached to the building. Absurdly loud music every night so you could not get sleep till it stopped playing after 11pm. The free breakfast was poorly made and undercooked, terrible taste.

We stood for two days, because we was visiting our grandchild who was at Boston Hospital for children,and the following day we had no cleaning service. We ended up getting our own towels and clean linen for the room. We used the dirty towels and linen to cover the floor, because the rugs was so filthy and smelly. Although, the breakfast was good except for the powdered eggs.
