The hotel is nice but the water does not drain when showering. It settles in the tub. This occurred in multiple rooms.

This place was not at all what we expected. The rooms were outdated feeling, worn and barren. The toilet was running, the little fridge froze my food over night, the breakfast was lacking in anything fresh or healthy. Does not live up to its regal name…

I was very happy with my stay and would stay again. The reason for my rating was the garment hanger on both luggage rollers was broken so my dry cleaned clothes kept falling off and the arms on the leather chair in my room had cracked leather. The room was not ultra modern but that was fine because it was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was very helpful and nice, great experience.

The check in system was down when I arrived, and it took quite a long time to get checked in. After I got my key, I opened a room door only to find another guest in the room in the shower. I quickly closed the door and went back to the front desk for a new key. However, when I got to the room, I was distressed to find that the door didn't have a safety latch on the inside, so anyone could walk in on me the same as I had on the previous guest. It made me deeply uncomfortable to stay there. I was also sent to a local restaurant that was closed for renovations as the recommended place to get dinner and a drink. Not individually worth mentioning, but it didn't improve my experience.

Faculty is older but well- maintained. Room was very clean and served its purpose for an overnight stay. Staff was extremely courteous and accommodating. We left an item in the room, and the recovered the item and had it shipped to us within days.

Hotel probably close to needing a remod soon or perhaps just a referesh. Not worn down and maybe just my room but couch in room had mismatched cushions. Shower mixing valve was broken so water was barely warm. Paint was a bit banged up. Comfortable bed and pillows, though. Staff was very friendly. Free breakfast was lacking, but what do you expect for free? Only stayed one night. Close to downtown Montclair. Plenty food options around.
